Fly Fishing Question!?

I would like to buy a fly fishing tying kit for an avid fly fisherman for Christmas (this is what he said he wants) but I know nothing about fly fishing or what should be in this kit (or where to get one!!!) I would really appreciate your suggestions. Thank you so much for your time.

3. a fly tying kit is good... you don't have to buy the most expensive one (cabela's a good place to go...) consider getting a DVD on fly tying to go with it
4. a beginner kit will have the vice and some other tools and a sample of material to use to tie flies with and cabala's is a good place to get them
5. I will say a little here and there and things you can fine free by looking for them?
