how many hours does it take crab fishing boats to get from dutch harbor to the fishing grounds?

1. Well it depends on what we're going for. For opies it can be anywhere from 12 to 24 hours, Red crab are generally a bit closer, however there are some outer reaches areas we'll hit sometimes. Reds are usually from 9-20 hours. It also depends on your rig. some boats are pretty fast (fast being 11-13 knots) others can only push at 8-10 knots. Weather also plays a major role in your steam time, If your bucking the weather off your bow your obviously not going to make way as well as if you had the weather on your stern.
