Fishing Q&A

trout fisshing the nor. cal. sierra neveda's?

Was wondering if anyone trout fishes up in the sierra neveda mountains, I'm totally addicted to it. I'm curious what rivers you like to fish. My favorites are the middle fork. stanislaus, east walker, little walker, east carson, clark fork, upper sac. Hey maybe we can go fishin sometime, fly or spinning gear.

  1. the only place i really go to trout fish in CA. is Twin lakes in Bridgeport. when we go, we go down the 395 and there is all kinds of neat lookin rivers thatd i like to fish some day. i always see big trout pulled out of them! going to the Twins in two weeks! i do alot of bass fishing at camanche, camp far west, rancho seco, etc.
  2. Fished a mucho' areas of the Sierras, but one of the favorites be Hat Creek. One other place that falls inta' the category of favorites is Lee Vining Creek. Both links below will give ya' an idea of how sweet they really are ;)... http://www.fs.fed.us/r5/lassen/recreation/fishing/streams/ (Hat Creek) http://thelizards.com/hiker/fishing.html (This be for Lee Vining)
  3. Been a long time since I've fished up that way, but always had good times. Small golden trout above the the fish camp out of Lake Thomas A. Edison. Monster trout (and blue crawdads) at Lane and Roosevelt Lakes. Wide open trout rising to flies in the evening in Tuolomne Meadows. Foolish trout a day's hike out of South Lake trailhead.
