A couple of general fishing questions.?
Ok first off *how do you hook a pilchard or a prawn? i've tried the one were you sew it threw the pilchard but that didn't work very well. *what bait should i use for whitting, bream or flathead and if its not pilchard or prawn, how do i hook this? *what size hook do i use for whitting, bream or flathead? *what time is the best for fishing? - Bream use worms on a very small hook with along shank so you can remove it easier. Fish in daylight hours all day long. Use a bobber. Flathead as in Yellowcat will only bite live bait. Use the bream live on a 5/0 hook. Fish on bottom at night or in daytime in running flood type water, below tailraces or very muddy water. Only fish called a whiting I ever caught was in the surf on the coast on live shrimp (prawns) hooked thru the tail on a circle hook about 2/0. I was not fishing for whiting. Early moring and sunset are good times for many fish. Your flathead and mine may not be the same. - Whitting LOVE!!!! squid use cut squid u can buy it in like 1lb frozen boxes u cut the head off the squid and cut the body into stripss they love it the hook should be like 3/0 or 4/0

Maybe you mean white bass? Use small jigs like road runners or small live minnows for them. also, a 1/0 hook is way to big for catching a bream to use for bait. A 6-10 long shank hook is best. A hook for using the bream as a bait, depends on the size of the bream. A small bait the size of a credit card can use a 1/0-2/0 hook . Hand sized baits work with 3/0-5/0 hooks. Circle hooks work best in these sizes. The best time for cats would be anytime but they prefer the night time better. as for everything else, early morning is best. Good luck fishing.
