Ideas for fishing offshore in Minnesota?
We live in Minnesota and love to fish, but don't own a boat. Any ideas for good places to fish offshore? Are there certain areas that tend to have better fishing? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! pardon me...we will be fishing FROM shore.

- Docks have to be the best place... cast as far as you can... good luck!
- Offshore means ocean fishing from a boat, not fishing off the bank.
- Fishing from the bank often requires that you make long casts. Consider using rods and equipment designed for surfcasting. Go to www.breakawayusa.com for equipment to make really long casts. These guys are the world champs in equipment for making long casts into the surf. Have a look. BTW - If you are fishing offshore from Minnesota please be sure not to hit my house here in Texas with your lure and weight when you cast into the Gulf. Better yet, why don't you just cast into the Atlantic or the Pacific. That will be safer for me. :-!) (international symbol for tongue in cheek) Sorry, just couldn't resist.
