What kind of fishing pole and reel should I buy, I want to catch big fishes (30 pounds, but also feel smaller fishes under 2 pounds? And what do you think of these sets? 1. This setup Speedmaster 7,6`20-30lbs /Amb 7000 Seven. That 7000 series reel is a super duty workhorse and lasts forever with proper care. It also has a very good drag system. I like the 7'6" rod. It allows better hooking power and control while fighting and landing a large fish. If you spool your reel with 30 pound test braided line you will feel everything. If line visibility is a problem just add a few feet of Fluorocarbon line as a leader. Now go catch a big one!
