What's the best live bait to use for fishing in streams?
I have a regular fishing rod, not a fly rod, and am looking to use "LIVE BAIT".

- Earthworms.
- It depends on conditions, Is it warm, is the water warm, is the water high or low? Try minnows. However I like corn early in teh year, then minnows and salties, then salmon eggs and corn. Or worms after a rain or during a rain.
- dobsons....everytime i put one on sheeesh i nail um. watch out the got some nasty claws....its not a crawdad!
- Try using a minnow or even what they call Chubbs..Which is another type of minnow but you can catch them in the stream!!!Good Luck!!!
- What are you fishing for and what do they eat naturally, i.e. crickets, worms, frogs, crayfish (crawdads), etc. Try to match what they are eating.

- Choosing the right bait usually depends on alot of things. The species you are after, water tempurature, clarity and spawning characteristics and just like reality.... location, location, location. For some fish, worms and grubs are one of the best food sources that prove to be a consistant producer. For others minnows, brim or crayfish. Even pig ears from the local butcher shop. If you be a little more specific... I can give you a better guide.

- It depends what you are fishing for. if you are fishing for bass, use crawdads (crayfish), or creek chubs. If you are fishing for panfish, catfish, or perch use red worms or earthworms
