Looking for manufacturer of icelander fishing boats.?
Trying to find year of manufacture of our icelander 18ft sports fishing boat.Cannot find serial number on hull for purposes of insurance!! Anyone got any ideas?

- try the website........... www.worldseafishing.com on it there is a forum section from the top tool bar. there is a subsection on boat angling and boat maint. ask your question on there, i,m sure you,ll get a better response as its a site only for us "sea-goers" !!! and not just some one who wants 2 points for a wild guess. have you tried a google search for the icelander website? there may be some pictures that will help you out. sorry i can,t help any more, iv,e always had shetlands
- I had the very same problem with the very same boat,after tons of research i found who built my boat,it was quilltip design at rossendale lancashire and they went into liquidation in the 90s,they didnt stamp there boats with any i.d!! i didnt tell my insurance co this and made my own up from my initials and date of birth,well its not going to come up as stolen is it and if it sinks who is going to check for no,s. Apart from that they are a fantastic boat very underestimated with what they can handle seawise .mine has a 90hp optimax on it and passes anything!!!,there are 4nos on the stern but they arnt the the serial no of the boat "im told" stand behind yours and to your left side of boat where top skin meets bottom there might be some no,s mine are half covered with a strip of wood. P.s mine is a 1990 and theres very few after that.
