Are there fishing restrictions on national wild and scenic rivers?
rod and reel, fly fishing, live bait, catch and release, or any restrictions on wild and scenic rivers. I am taking a road trip and stopping to fish here and there, I was not aware of the wild and scenic river designations.

- There are no specific restrictions because of Wild and Scenic status, either the state or federal designation. However, that does not mean there are no special regulations. You should always check with the fishing regs specific to each state and specific to each river before fishing. Here in CA there are W&S rivers that are catch and keep, catch and release and some off limits altogether. There is no blanket, consistant rule from Wild & Scenic.
