- yes. with minnows. its so much fun bobber fishing. if you get bobber stoppers then you can set your line to the depth you want it. you could even set it 20 ft if you wanted because the bobber stopper goes smoothly on your spool. good luck fishin : ) *crappie is my favorite kind

- You can use A Bobber if you would like but i personally like the clear bubbles as you can control the depth you want to run by increasing or decreasing the amount of water inside the bubble.

- nope...unless you are using Live Minnows then its not a bad idea to use some sort of flotation device...use small hot steel or perch colored rapalas and you will get excellent results for nice crappie...also small plastic worms work well as well. If you are into jigging you should have no problem catching them Crappie.
