- I use the palomar knot on all species. try this link. will show you how. http://www.animatedknots.com/palomar/index.php?LogoImage=LogoGrog.jpg&Website=www.animatedknots.com
- look up nafc.com then search for knot wars that will give you the toughest knots. i like the eye crosser
- take the line through the hook eye twirl the hook 5 time so the line is spun then take the end of the line and go through the loop of the line then there is another loop take the line through that and pull http://www.fish.wa.gov.au/fishtales/i/lpics/image_knot_halfblood.gif
- Usually Palomar and Hangman's Knots for me.
- There are SOOO many knots out there for the discerning fisher"person." Unless you plan on really learning and remembering all the uses, instances, advantages and disadvantages of each knot, I would stick to a few basic, proven knots. Honestly, what knot you use is or should be determined by what you are trying to do. (eg. work a topwater lure - rapala loop, join two lines - uni/uni....etc) I'm not sure that I would change the knot I use just because I change species I'm targeting. I can see where it might look that way since one would change lines/setups for different approaches. For MONO/FLOURO - the uni, improved clinch, and rapala loop knots will cover almost all the bases. For SUPERLINE/BRAID - the uni and palomar
- alot of different types, just make sure that you put it threw the hook hole twice cuz if you put it once it wil come loose if its a good size bass,i put it in the hole and make a cross then put it twice under the pull it and repeat it once more.
