Fishing Q&A

LMAO! Isn't this LIVE EARTH thing flopping like a flipping fish that is flapping just before death?

Man, what a freaking joke. The corporations can't lose money on it but they probably won't profit from any residuals other than the jokes we will be making. Its so funny, none of them are DOING anything. They are having a series of concerts(electricity=fuel) where the musicians are flown in on private jets(lots of fuel), and all the equipment was flown in(lots more fuel), and 2 billion people are using electricity to watch it on the internet(electricity=fuel). What I see is a bunch of idealistic dreamers that are really not doing anything but having a big party and calling it "good for the Earth" and "green". I don't see anything green about it. I figure about 2 days after this, Gore will be doing some kind of damage control. Let me say that I have no problem at all with concerts. I have seen BTO, Judas Priest, ZZTop, The Who and many others. I do have a problem with promoting a rock concert series as "green". There is nothing at all green about this concert and I'll bet you that few of the people on the planet that didn't know about it will become "aware" as a result of this corporate driven venue. No offense intended except to the people responsible.

  1. Yes it is a complete joke, but for some reason people still are saying, but its raising awareness, its for a good cause.....sooooooo. Would it be ok if we tried to raise awareness and save the whales by taking huge tankers out and dumping oil in the ocena where the whales are froliking? Its the same thing, thay are dumping tons of wate with these concerts and saying its for the good of mankind....give me a break
  2. And dont forget the crowd sure will leave tons of trash for others to clean!! Those "Do what I say not what I do" Libtards really sadden me..... *sigh*
  3. There does seem to be a degree of contradiction here...any surprise?
  4. Just another bunch of celebrity types preaching to us how WE should change OUR ways while they continue to live their jet-setting, fossil fuel burning lifestyles unchanged. Hell, Al Gore uses 20 times the amount of energy in his mansion than does the average household. What freakin' hypocrites!
  5. What is guaranteed to happen is the attendance numbers will be way overstated. After that who knows.
  6. yeah, and you know they are smoking some grass while they are at it.
  7. Yeah, but the close-ups of the well endowed women in bikini tops sure helps make me aware of .... what was the concert for again? You know if you mix up the letters for Live Earth you get Evil Heart!
  8. Al Gore uses so much electricity because his office is part of his house... and he has a lot going on in his work. we do need to find a better way to conserve energy than the ones being followed through these days though
  9. Hey, the performers can hold a world wide mythfest if they want to.
  10. i like concerts\ let me just ask that if this was an event to raise awarness for anything else would you be mad about it?
  11. A Bunch of POT smoking liberals telling us how the earth is melting. No thanks!
  12. so what else is new. People like concerts whether they are for a 'purpose' or not. I say let them have their fun. So they use electricty. So do you and hundreds of billions of other people. so they dream. So do you; maybe about something else, but you still dream. so its a big party. Everybody likes to party. Big deal.
  13. I think they should have come up with other ways to raise awareness (is that the way to say it?). I mean, they say they are going to plant trees to counteract the effects of these huge concerts... Well, why didn't they just plant the trees and find another solution? I'm glad some people try to do things for the environment, but I agree with you: when I heard about these concerts, I was wondering who got that brilliant idea... I know that a lot of people look up to celebrities and follow what they do, but still...
  14. Gore does it again!!..........Makes a fool of himself that is!!
  15. Yes it is quite ridiculous. Fishguy likes the fish reference in your question.
  16. It's just like eating a 12 course meal then washing it down with a diet Coke. Unbelievable, isn't it? How embarrassing.
  17. Let all have a party listen to music and that how WE take care of business!
  18. At least we can all unite under the banner of "These people really need to get a clue!" If only we could come together like this for other issues.
  19. Great question. Since they're so absorbed in "good causes" I wonder if they'll also pay below minimum wage to an illegal, oops, I mean "undocumented" alien to clean up the trash when they're done pretending to care? After all, they want to keep them here.
  20. This is exactly what we have come to expect from "Weird Al" Gore
  21. All this green talk is seriously a load of crap, if the governments of the world wanted to go green they could do it in a flash. They won't do it though because it means changing everything and that means losing money for them. All the cars people drive, the fuel could so easily be something else that isn't harmful at all, this will never happen though because oil company's will be out of business then. They could power factory's and plants with nuclear energy but they don't because the stupid public think it's just gonna blow up and cause an explosion, it doesn't not work like that, nuclear power is the future. I just want all hypocrite politicians to die and let someone who knows what the hell there doing take charge.
  22. LMAO! It's the most ridiculous thing yet! I bet not a one of these people would volunteer to give up their electricity! or gas!
  23. have no idea, i was in bed with the bf til i went to the club last night. lol
