ok if u have ur florida fishing license does that mean u can ocean fish to is that the same license or do u have to go and get a diffent license to fish in the ocean

- Well, 9 miles off the coast is federal waters. Therefore different regulations than your state license!
- You dont need a saltwater license if you are a resident fishing in saltwater from land or from a structure fixed to the land but do if from a boat unless a paid for hire vessel license. check link out
- You don't need a licensed to fish salt water if your a resistant, only if your a tourist (or some thing of that type), if you are only fishing from land, dock pier inlet etc., how ever you do need one if you are fishing a boat.
- no outside 8 miles you can fish with no lisece
