bass fishing on man made lake?
ok, i have been fishing on my friends neighborhoods man made lake that has many types of fish, i aim for the large mouth bass. lately they have been biting white tube jigs in the first 15 feet from the shore. after they bite for the first 20 minutes they stop! i am on a dock in a backyard and cant move around. any tips on how to land more fish? PS the water is stained, a little weedy and gets deep in the middle.

- you're stuck in one place..so you can only change tactics. start with crankbaits and spinnerbaits then present your white tube with texas, calolina, and darter heads. then finish with split shot and drop shoting.
- Fish with the white tube until you catch 2 or 3 bass. Then switch to a small jig or 6" worm,(black & blue or junebug) catch a few more bass and then switch back to the tube. The small jig, I am talking 1/4 oz or less w/ a trailer. If the bass are hitting the tube on the bottom, only way you will get them to hit a crank bait or spinner bait is to have them bump the bottom. Keep track at what depth you are getting the bites, this could indicate there is a drop and dip there the bass are holding at. Also might try changing colors of the tub. But you are most definitely going to have to change baits. If they are hitting the white tube on the fall they are taking it as a bait fish, then you can try a crank bait or spinner bait.(try and match you spinner bait & crank bait to the same size of the tube) Good Luck
- Thumbs to Golden! Perfect answer bro!
- hey man, golden's answer is a good one. bout the only thing you can do is change it up. after awhile the fish keeps seeing the same thing over and over again they get uninterested. change it up with top water to crank to worms to buzz poppers. try an assortment. i weedy situationsi like to use a texas rigged worm. almost all the people i have see has the bullet weight sliding up and down the line. yea that is fine and that is what it is made for. what i do since the weights are actually soft about a foot above the worm i bite the end of the weight and make it fixed to the line. the weight will still its job but the fish don't see all that motion of the weight and wonder why the hell is that worm chasing that. man i hopes that helps you out alittle good luck and good fishin
- use the tube then when they stop bittting go to a gary yamamoto senko green pumpkin 3-4 inch range gust cast it out let it hit the bottom and give it a pop every 5 senconds rig it wakey riged
