  1. Can't go wrong with the palomar knot.
  2. palamer knot is quick easy and strong
  3. in my experience the best all around knot for fishing is the "improved clinch knot". works like a charm. As a deckhand i have to know all types of knots and situations for them. this will be your best bet. just google it or something and it will come up with a full "how to" guide
  4. The improved clinch knot is the knot I use most.
  5. i recommend the improved clinch knot http://www.killroys.com/knots/clinch.htm after you tie the knot, pull the line tight to make sure it wont slip this site shows a fly being tied, but it can be used for regular lures too
  6. I use the Palomar knot for most of my fishing but it all depends on what line I'm using http://www.animatedknots.com/palomar/index.php?LogoImage=LogoGrog.jpg&Website=www.animatedknots.com
  7. Why do you want to change a knot that already works for you? The half blood is quite effective and I should imagine that you know it well enough to tie it with your eyes closed or with cold fingers. You could try the full blood knot and make that extra move to thread the tag back into the original loop.
  8. Why dont you try this site: http://www.animatedknots.com/indexfishing.php Brilliant site for loads of fishing and boating knots all are brilliantly animated for easy viewing and revising!
