Hi, What's the best type of fishing lures to catch bass?
Any other fishing tips would be appreciated as well.

- I love fishing..and whenever there's a bass on my line it's because of a worm. Make sure it's really wiggly.
- Spinner baits. Get a big selection (4 or 5 different ones at least) and keep trying. (BTW - every other post on here will probably suggest something different, and the truth is, they're probably all right - there is no 'best' lure for bass, it depends on the location, the water temp, the time of year, all sorts of things) Just have fun with it.
- There is a different best lure for everyone that has ever fished. Its a matter of preference. Also water and weather conditions play a big factor in what baits work best and when. I personally have had great luck with the beetle spin. The white one with the black stripes down the back. I prefer the larger ones but I haven't seen them since the 1980's.
- If you can fish at all you can catch bass with a bait called a Senko made by Yamamoto Baits. You basicly put it on a worm hook with or without a weight, cast it out near trees, weeds, rocks or any other visible or submerged cover and let it sink. Lift your rod tip to bring the lure up then let it fall again. Slowly fish it back to you and repeat. Easy as pie. - Plastiuc worms texas rigged or a senko like Exert mentioned. I tried senko's for the first time a week ago they worked great , I fished them weightless and rigged wacky style. I caught several bass and so did my girlfriend , Just cast them out and let them sink and twitch them back to you slowly.
