Can someone recommend a good rod/reel combo for peacock bass fishing in a canal?
I live on a canal in South Florida and want to try and fish for some peacock bass in it. I'm not an experienced fisherman, so I'd like to start with something decent but not very expensive. Any recommendations? Thanks.

- stop in at bass pro shops, they can set you up with reasonable priced combos. you can get a decent rod & reel combo ( spinning or bait casting ), for less than $ 100.00 good luck
- any rod and reel that is made for bass fishing will work
