Deep sea fishing Guardalavaca Cuba!?
Hi there im going Guardalavaca in Cuba about mid november and wanted to do some deep sea fishing why i was out there just wondered if anyone has been there same place and done some fishing??? would really like to know if its any good and what sort of price i would expect to pay!!!

- went to Cuba it was brilliant, i would try deep sea fishing dont book through your tour operator, ask your concierge at the hotel or taxi driver, youll get fixed up a lot cheaper, but regardless of cost have a go, didnt in Cuba but did in NZ it was a brilliant and i caught a lot of fish some big ones too(snapper) the guy who owned the hostel BBQd them for us, fed about 20 of us, then we went bowling and got pissed, have a go id never fished before and it was brilliant,

We went @ 11 years ago and went night fishing it cost £40 we caught baracuda ,you might get it cheeper if you ask hotel staff rather than book trip with hotel We have also been to varedero twice since then and been fishing with the hotel staff , you just give them a few $ for getting you it cheeper

We went to Guardalavaca last year in September and didn't do the fishing as the locals said it was seasonal and they have different fish at different times of the year and September wasn't a good time. But ask the locals anyway. If you are going anywhere near the Paradisus Rio de Oro maybe you could look up the horse coachman outside the hotel, called Danielo. He is a great bloke, only young but he took us all over the place for the same price as the taxi fare. He also took us to a local bar for a feel of the "real Cuba". He stayed with us to make sure we were safe and was very well respected by all the local people. If you find him will you say "Hi" from Bev & Paul please.
