How much does deep sea fishing cost?
I want to send my husband on a deep sea fishing excursion sometime next summer. I've had trouble finding prices online, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how much this sort of thing costs. He would probably do this in Florida. Also if you have any good websites that would help, too.

- Go to the Yellow Pages on line and check out Charter Boats in Destin , Florida , if in North Florida, or Charter Boats in West Palm Beach if in south Florida. It depends on many factors , such as the number of people on the boat, the type of fishing, etc. I would guess if you budget $ 500 a day you will be able to give him a great trip. - It depends on how far out and how long Charter boats (also known a six packs) are priced for six people but some captains will have a sign-up sheet to fill the boat. Prices are normally $600 - $800 for 5 to 8 hours With tax tip* and extras** figure $150-$250 per person *First mate 10%+ if he is helpfull-it is not his fault if the fish don't bite. **Extras-Food and drink, a license if needed, fuel surcharge, cleaning and filleting fish, freezer wrap+freezing. There is also a kitty or pot for the first or largest fish.

I have been on the expensive private charters in the Ft. Myers area where it cost approx. $600 a day and caught far fewer fish. I wish my wife would do something like that for me.
