Can anyone recommend a good beach in Florida where there is deep-sea fishing?
I'm looking for a place in Florida that has a nice beach, with hotels right on the beach, and one of those deep-sea charter boats where you pay per person and they provide fishing rod and bait, etc. I'm from Florida and looking for a nice place to bring my boyfriend fishing for a 1st anniversary present. Something other than St. Pete area, because we've been there before... maybe on the East coast? Also, some place where we can go to nice restaurants at night, and with a pier or something... I know this is quite specific but any advice would help! Thanks!

- Destin has great charters so does Panama City gulf fishing.
- try fort myers beach...lived there for four years and it was real nice. naples too..and the florida keys use to be the place to go...islamorada...
- new smyrna has lots of charters.. cape canaveral has a ton of them and many hotels and resorts in cocoa beach right next door. look up around canaveral marina by the cruise ships
- What a fine woman you are, taking your man out on a fishing excursion for an anniversary present. He had better latch on to you and quick. Very few women would do something like this for their man,,, Here's to you BOO-YA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Daytona Beach is nice, we stayed on Daytona Beach shores, just South of Daytona Beach, our hotel was right on the beach with balconies looking over the water. We stayed at a place called Perry's Ocean Edge. When we were there we went deep-sea fishing out of Ponce Inlet, only a few minute drive south. WE had good catches of Amberjack, some real nice ones too, we went out with Critter Fleet Charters, they have a website, critterfleet.com, i think, or search for it. They were really nice, supplied bait, tackle, and everything. They had fish cleaning available too. I would recomend both of these places. Check out the websites, i don't know the website for Perry's but you can search it.See what you think. There's also a lot to do around the southern daytona area. There is a few boardwalks, one in downtown daytona and one south of daytona. Also there is a lighthouse in Ponce Inlet, just a few minutes south from Daytona. Lots of nice restaurants, mini-golf courses, lots of stuff to do. check it out.
- Why go off shore? Search St Augustine backwater guides. Right now you`ll probably have more fun catching fish inshore than you`ll have off shore. Plus you probably won`t run the risk of getting "seasick". Also St Augustine has many sites of interest and some very nice bed and breakfasts.
- West Palm Beach (Singer Island) or Miami are your two best bets. Singer Island is loaded with hotels, beaches and restaurants. Miami has deep sea fishing closer to shore(Maybe 2 m). Both places are loaded with charter boats---do your research find a good guide for a good price.
