  1. deep sea fishing is fishing in the sea where its deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep
  2. Although technically a "sea" is a large expanse of saline water connected with an ocean, the term is usually used as a synonym for an ocean. Some bodies of water that are called "seas" are not actually seas and some seas are not called "seas".
  3. It's probably from the English since they often fish in the North Sea, and other Europeans fish in the Mediterranean Sea. You're right, however, it should be deep ocean fishing for us.
  4. I guess I'll have to start referring to my fishing trips as "Deep Gulf" fishing. How am I going to explain that one to my wife? Thanks a lot.
  5. because youre fissing in the sea and its deep
