going fishing in port aransas?
ihave fished with capt. kelly at deep sea heaquarters for years, i was just wondering how doplhin dock is? i have heard that they have eletric reels, is this true? if not who has them so i can avoid it. any other suggestions?

- Im the Bay fishing/ Dolphin watch Captain at Dolphin Docks. No we don't use electric reels, they are way to much trouble and headache. The most often used reel that we use is a Penn Senator 4/0 with a few 6/0 mixed in. If I remember right, it was Fisherman's wharf who use the electric reels, and to be honest, they are a joke. Both Deep sea headquarters and Dolphin Docks are the better trips for your money. Just stop in and see what trips are availible for your time. We've been doing well on the offshore trips, with plenty of snapper and king fish, on the longer trips such as the 12 hour trips, its not uncommon to catch your limit of either snapper or king, along with catching other species of fish.
