Fishing Q&A

Do you mess with the minds of your pet fish? (Or pets in general, for that matter?)?

Public Comments

  1. do you do drugs?
  2. yes
  3. Not anymore, they're onto me.
  4. Never, that's cruel.
  5. er
  6. No.
  7. how do u mess with an animals mind? lol
  8. Ummm... how can you tell when you've successfully freaked out your pet fish?
  9. No, my guppies and algae eaters have the attention span less than that of a gnat... Cheers Lisa
  10. yes, I make my cats run up the walls with lazer pointers. The dog just runs into the walls.
  11. What a strange question.
  12. I guess a better question ids HOW or WHY do you mess wtoj the minds of your pet fish?
  13. I guess I'm guilty. I just bought one of those laser pointers and use it to play with my cat. She loves chasing after the beam and its so funny watching her race after it. But I guess its teasing her as she isn't able to catch it. When I turn it off she comes to me and meows at me as if saying "where did it go?
  14. playing with them and giving them attention of course, have you placed soft music close by a tank of fish and use your finger or pencil going back and forth in front of the tank so they can see you that is their way of telling you they can and dance.
  15. if u have a simese fighter fish put a mirror next to it and it trys to attack it, thats wat mr friend does i have 2 cats and there so playfull i tease and confuse them all the time
  16. No, I do not. My birds love me and are spoiled rotten, my fire belly toads sing every night, my fish are fat and watch my every move. Only very disturbed humans would think to tease something that is dependent on them to survive. Get some help.
  17. my fish was mad when I got him :))
  18. I wonder how you mess with a fish's mind Maybe pretending to feed them whilst watching them kiss the air at the top of the tank? Or putting in some fake, neutrally buoyant fish for them to make "friends" with... only to watch them cry bubbles when they discover they're not real...
  19. no. i'm very considerate of my pets feelings, including the fish!
  20. Do husband's count? Then, yes.
  21. Yes, my fish and pets are a source of endless entertainment. But sometimes, I feel that they're messing with my mind, as well.
  22. My pet dolphin squeaks my language.
  23. No. I just feed my fantail every morning when he does his little "I am hungry" fishy dance. "Spot" is now 16 years old! Really! I can always tell a happy little fishy when his nose is down and his tail is up, scouring the bottom for little food bits and rearranging the gravel.
