- The one I used to go to charged $10.00 and you got to keep what you caught. Carps, bass, crappie, etc. Others charge by the pound whether you kept the fish or not :( If you do use one, find out what they feed the fish and use that for bait.
- i fished some paylakes they had tagged fish if you caught one it was worth a new rod and reel but it was like 10 dollars for the day to fish
- Pay lake fee's can vary but a few I fish are! $6.00 to enter and $2.00 per rod used! $12.50 to fish with up to 3 rods max! $10.00 to fish with up to 3 rods max! Big fish(cat)$5.00 entry! Big fish (carp)$5.00 entry! Big cat only $25.00 entry and payout min is usually $250 minimum! A trick I use is to fish both bottom and suspended baits and I use dough baits made from commercial fish pellets or cut carp! Also find the fish station and the times for stocking it can be very good then. Most of these fish are pond raised so they will many times be very hungry after transport then there will be a lull period after. Then they start to roam the lake to find proper conditions so I fish long rods to be able to cast various areas from one spot. One lake I go to produces some real big cats so you will be fishing against around 100 ppl or more on the weekend so I fish during the week.If you ever fish a pay lake you will notice at times 1 or 2 ppl catch lots of fish this is because the pond raised fish school heavy until they aclimate to the new area. Also they sell tickets and call out number for prizes! Some have big fish caught then have a pay back to release it! If I carp fish I use small dough balls about the size of a marble and put them on the bottom with very little weight!I have a couple trade secrets but these are a secret, lol!
