charter fishing business?
Can I take my 26' Bayliner Explorer (Trawler style) boat and start a charter fishing business on East coast of Florida like Daytona Beach area What license is required? What kind of insurance is required? Anyhelp would be appreciated.

- A friend of mine did this on the Texas coast and he was required to become a Captain. To do this there were requirements that had to be met and he attended a school then took a test. I am sure there are requirements for the other states.
- charter fishing is a tuff row to hoe,lot of guys trying it,takes a special breed,like politicians,You will need Licenses,6 pack Captain and your fishing license,for what ever you are targeting ,This boat will be for inshore right>?KIND of SMALL ,for offshore
- The boat needs to be documented by the coast guard. You could ask the Florida chamber of commerce that's there thing to help out new businesses in there state.
