  1. Well, I'm in Texas, so I don't know how helpful this will be, but since it's really hot here now, you have to fish in deeper/ cooler water. In the spring, they spawn and run down creeks and rivers but they have moved to the lakes in deep water. I use a bobber with a minnow, and I fish about 17-20 feet deep. Good luck!
  2. theres plenty of places for crappie in the san diego area, but to catch them heres what I do, I use a black and yellow crappie jig tube and I'll throw a bobber on my line with about 24" of leader coming from it and just let it sit, or I will troll it behind a boat, no bobber, just a 1-2 ounce trolling weight with about a 24" leader.
  3. well crappie have already spawned or at least where i live so i dont know if they will bite so well. i'd just try a minnow/shinner whatever you call em with a bobber fishing 15-20 feet deep and in an area with submerged trees.
