- i from denver colorado and i alwase go out to kansas for crappie fish. there are alot of crappie out there and alot of big ones. i alwase of out there around march through april that when they are breeding and they are realy active. i like to use minnows and yellow jigs. I think the limit out there is 50 a day. good luck and happy fishing
- When the water starts to warm up to around 55 degrees. April, May depending on the weather. Look for early season fish in shallow dark bottom bays.
