- never...usually june and july.
- depends where u live. i live in kenosha and the water really doesnt matter. during may june its really good because its not too hot and fish dont go down deep. they are still near the top. september october are almost the best because water is warm not hot or cold near top so they come up then too. end of june, july, and august are worst months to go fishing unless u fish at night. i hope this can help. i really dont fish much on michigan but my dad use to charter on michigan then gave it up because it was to costly. learned some good tips from him.

- Well Crappie do hit well when water temperatures get in the mid 50's. Toward the end of March you should be able to venture out with your Crappie jig or small spinner and catch some nice ones. I recommend small 1 1/2 inch fire tiger rapalas for Crappie (I hauled about a 2 pounder on this floating it off the top and was in shock of how big it was) and also a small 1/16 yellow mini king spinner bait as well. Crappie will also hit 4 inch black plastic worms and an assortment of jigs as well. (spinning jigs trigger the Crappie species in general so I suggest one of these in Chartreuse color) Best of luck to you and hope in less than a month your hauling in some nice crappie!
