2. In the spring fish tree tops and stake beds in 15 feet of water and less. The closer it gets to spawning, the shallower the crappie will move. After spawn they will return to around 15 foot depth until they move back to the river bed in summer. Jig vertically with 1/16th ounce jigs and tip with minnows if fishing is slow.
