I'm fly- fishing a Scottish Hill Loch. I like traditional wet flies and brown trout. Has?

Any one got some suggestions for this time of year. Tonight there was a hatch of olives but the fish were not really rising consistantly. I felt I had to go a little deeper. I tried montana,butcher,pennel,some nymphs and even the dry sedge but to no avail?????
