What is some reallyy good fishing line for bass? I usually use trilene. I want something that casts far and isnt super expensive. Any ideas for mono, or just any good line?

- I, like you, use trilene. I think it's a good line for the money without going to wire which seems kind of expensive.
- go with the new braided lines and when you get a snag on the bottom, you might as well cut your line at the surface of the water.....trilene has some mono that glows pink in presence of uv rays(sun light) and underwater turns clear...saw it at a fishing show last year....I think its called fireline.... dollar for dollar just go with Bass Pro Shop large spool of Excell line...(its either stren or trilene)..fill all your reels.....then fill some of your friends and then have some left over for the mid season changeover
- Use Stren blue. Test pound of about 12# is good all around line.
- My favorite line in the world Sufix Siege 14- 17 lb test it's the only line i will ever use.
- I'm not as particular as others with my line. I have all sorts I use...cheap, expensive, mono, braid. I have never had a problem with line breaking. I guess the line strenght or test is more important.
- I use Berkly Trilene XT 14 pound or Stren 14 pound for bass and catfish but for crappie I use Berkly Trilene XT 6 pound line
- If you want a good casting line then i would go for braid, although it is more expensive and can be a little to sensitive, but berkley line is as good as any also i would recommend you try stren line, generally the lighter the line the better it is to cast due to thinner diameter, http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/index/index-display.jsp?id=cat600392&navAction=jump&navCount=1&cmCat=MainCatcat20166&parentType=category&parentId=cat20166 For braided lines try http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/pod/standard-pod-wrapped.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/pod-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat20166-cat600395&rid=&indexId=cat600395&navAction=push&masterpathid=&navCount=9&parentType=index&parentId=cat600395&id=0003186
