Fishing Q&A

intro to bass fishing?

I'm making a how-to video for a class on bass fishing. What should I say and start off with for my introduction?

  1. here is a website for you: http://www.bassresource.com/beginner/beginner.html
  2. start off the a Father teaching his son to fish that would be cool
  3. Yeah I like Tony T's idea one better would be a daughter involved also.Start with worms and floats for Blue Gill. Then work your way from there thats how almost all of us started fishing. And don't forget the many many other species that would be even better.GOOD LUCK and KEEP FISHING!!!
  4. Make sure you let people know that they are not going to catch fish on every cast, thats why it is called "FISHING" and yea the bluegill Idea is a great one to start off with (get em hooked on fishing) then go into an overview of some of the basic tackle and how to use it (i'd stay away from fly fishing) then teach them about different types of cover. Next I would choose to tell them about soft plastics (basics, Texas rigged worm, etc.), then spinners, then cranks, then last but not least topwater. then teach them about what presentations and colors are best for certain water conditions. after they understand all that then finaly they can get into all the details about barometric pressure, moon fases, temperature, spawn, and weather. (if you want to go into all that detail) I would end it with the kid (or kids) standing on a dock reeling in and catching a "big" bass (5#) then have the kid review with you what he had learned.
  5. I think you should start it off as " How to bass fishing"
