Fishing Q&A

What criteria should I consider when searching for a used fishing boat?

Public Comments

  1. Size of the boat and engine to suit your needs.Condition is also very important.
  2. I would buy the biggest boat possible then slowly customize to your own neeeds
  3. Does it float? *L* Sorry. The criteria depends on what you are PRIMARILY going to use the boat for? Skiing, fishing, partying, etc. Then, length, weight, strorage location, engine size, etc.
  4. The biggest number you are interested in is: H.O.W. (Hours On the Water) You'll usually see or hear adds referring to a boat that has 1500 hours. With an average "day on the water" being about 6 hours, you get an idea how much it was actually used, since there is no mileage!
