Plans to build a balsa R/C fishing boat?
With a small engine, anywhere that i can get plans to make one, i intend to build a balsa boat, to use like the R/C avia fishinn buddy, what ever its called. To be used to catch fish........ I know they "suck", waiting for a certain S_M_C... read the old Q...lol Maybe some nylon line too.... I wil post a picture of it when ive built it (hand carved of course)....

- That is hilarious! I saw that avia post, and thought...nope, not going to get it. I guess if you want to get your boat to the fish quicker, you might look into scaled down unlimited hydroplane boats. They are FAST, and could certainly take up plenty of slack line in a hurry. They flip too!
- i dont have much of an answer about the plans, but your plan in general is awesome, i would look into a premade electric rc boat though, the balsa will have to be counter weighted a lot to keep it steady, you dont want it taking on water while you got a fish on...., most r/c boats can right themselves if they turn over.. you could go for some replica wood boat plans and scale them down to size, that might work... great idea......
- Hey Ariflow... I am sorry to burst your bubble but the thing your talking about sucks. It gets up to only 2 lbs. If your making this with your kids, then that is a different story. - I saw this on a fishing show .Had to laugh, kept thinking what would happen if you caught the big one . By by boat! They were catching sunnys by the the dock ,it looked fun . Dont think I would spend a lot of money on this.Good luck! http://www.rchobbies.org/rc_boats.htm
