how do you build a small fishing boat with no motor?

im trying to build a small fishing boat, o guess prettty much like a small canoe, with no motor andi have no clue how to get started. can someone help me or steer me in the right direction?

4. If you have never done it, you'd be better off finding a used one to buy. Check around before buying because you want a good boat at a good price. Go to boat yards/docks and ask around. There is almost always one or more persons selling their boats. By the way, a 'fishing boat' is no where like a 'canoe' - they are two totally different types of water craft. You paddle a canoe (usually kneeling) with both hands on the paddle on one side or another - and row a boat sitting, with the oars held in oarlocks.
