I am looking for some plans to build a small boat for fishing, under 15ft and 200 lbs. with plywood or strips.

i would prefer plywood with ribs etc. But I am willing to try planking or strips.Would like to keep it strong and light weight if possible.Any help would be appreciated

  1. your prefer is right because it is lighter and stronger then strips
  2. Try a magazine called Messing about in Boats. We had a friend who sold plans from there who made boats with luan. Also Wooden Boat magazine
  3. Go on Ebay and buy fishing boat plans. I have seen many ads over the past few months and they are very cheap.
  4. Just do a search under wooden boats. Subcategories kits & homebuilts. Loads of plans available. Also look for "Wooden boat Magazine"
  5. there are some nice FREE plans on internet..
