I have a small 14 ft fishing boat in my backyard, its been for three years, can i register that boat?
it is aboat that has been in my backyard since i moved in ( over three years),it is 14 ft aluminum fhising boat with no motor and no trailer, i found it there, i dont have a tittle or anything for it, can i register it on my name?, they require a registration number, and the number is have gone, you cant really see them, only like two numbers. and i dont have a bill of sale either, i thought it was trash but recently a friend of mine told me he can fix it and make it good, i just dont know if i can register it, or what can i say to the tax collector's office when i go there

- hi there.... ok.. you can claim that its been abandoned in your yard. Go to you local tax office where you pay for your car tag and say.... that you have a small 14 ft boat etc. and say its was in your yard when you moved in 3 years ago and you want to register it. Its a shell and needs work like seats deck ... You may be able to register it as a home made boat... ( i did with a 12ft alluminum...) I actually went and registered an alluminum boat as home made... as i had to fit seats in it....
- this is different in each state. do a little checking locally, Wildlife people, Sheriff, etc.
