it is aboat that has been in my backyard since i moved in ( over three years),it is 14 ft aluminum fhising boat with no motor and no trailer, i found it there, i dont have a tittle or anything for it, can i register it on my name?, they require a registration number, and the number is have gone, you cant really see them, only like two numbers. and i dont have a bill of sale either, i thought it was trash but recently a friend of mine told me he can fix it and make it good, i just dont know if i can register it, or what can i say to the tax collector's office when i go there

  1. Yes you can!
  2. hi there.... ok.. you can claim that its been abandoned in your yard. Go to you local tax office where you pay for your car tag and say.... that you have a small 14 ft boat etc. and say its was in your yard when you moved in 3 years ago and you want to register it. Its a shell and needs work like seats deck ... You may be able to register it as a home made boat... ( i did with a 12ft alluminum...) I actually went and registered an alluminum boat as home made... as i had to fit seats in it....
  3. this is different in each state. do a little checking locally, Wildlife people, Sheriff, etc.
