2.5 HP electric motor for inflatable boat?
How many MPH can a 2.5 HP electric motor get up to when attached to a Sevylor Fish Hunter inflatable boat/similar boat?

- Not that fast, but a decent 5mph is possible until the battery gives out. I've seen people use even more powerful motors on their inflatables!
- I had the 12' Fish Hunter inflatable and opted for a Tanaka 2HP outboard instead of the electric so I didn't have to take up more space in the boat with the battery. What is going to speed limit you is when the floor of the boat starts to lift up from bow to stern. If you only have 2 of you near the stern, you can get the bow up out of the water a bit and get up to 8Mph according to my GPS.
