  1. fishing and inflatable boats dont work well together
  2. I don't see a problem with that. Most areas that you want to fish probably are too deep to wade, but still fairly close to shore. I will add that a little bit of caution goes a long way when the weather is concerned, so depending on your climate, keep a watchful eye when overcast.... otherwise you should be enjoying some good fishing.
  3. We took inflatable boats on Lake Michigan. That's a big lake. We only went about a hundred yards out and fished with weedless lures. And as the other answerer alluded to...be extra careful. Your boat looks fine.
  4. Yes you can and my father did for a long time in his 11' sea eagle with just 2 trolling motors on it!If you can get the wood floor my dad did and he put a lawn chair and batteries his fishing tackle and sometimes mom in with him!He would stay with a mile of where he put in at but enjoyed the good times.
  5. I used to fish with my Dad out of a boat just like it on big lakes in Texas. We built a lightweight floor out of Masonite to add rigidity and a flat surface for tackle boxes and small ice chest. My only word of warning is to stay clear of underwater brush, trees and jagged rock outcroppings, don't get further from the shore than you can swim and don't take anything you wouldn't mind losing in case of a serious puncture and have to make a run for the shoreline. An inflatable pump should be carried with you at all times on water as well. We had a ball fishing out of ours and with adequate precaution (wear a life vest) and common sense they are great little rigs. I saw where a lady and her son fishing a lake around San Diego area a few years ago caught a largemouth bass that was over the world record and they were using an inflatable. Of course your results will vary. Have fun and take care.
  6. We have an 11' raft that is used on ponds (it works as a back-up when we can't get the 14' Jon in) w/ a Motorguide electric trollin' motor and have no problems. Only thing I might add is watch out for hooks ie., when castin' and handling fish. exert's advice about an air pump is essential along with some good old duct tape in case of a puncture for a patch, just make sure ya' repair it properly when ya' get home!!! Basically to put it in a nutshell, old common sense is the BIG factor. Have a good one and "Fish On"...
  7. yeah you can just be carfule of th hooks and take some duck tape with you just in case but yes you can you can fish off a log if you wanted to
