What would be the best pitch propeller for a 120hp Mercury Force Outboard Motor?
I recently purchased a 19' Starcraft Fishmaster Center Console Fishing Boat and cant make out the pitch or serial # on the current prop. I would like to purchase a spare stainless steel prop that will be a balance between speed and control.

- Really not enough information, would need to know the motors WOT ( wide open throttle) RPM's, weight of the boat, etc. But can give you a link to Mercuries prop selector, just answer the questions as best you can, and they will give you three props. https://appcenter.mercurymarine.com/propSelector/home.do From my own experience I would suggest a 4 blade in 25 Pitch on the high side. A lot will depend on your load, etc. But would suggest you get a 4 blade prop of some kind. You have a center console so I am assuming you fish flats, bay or ocean. Remember you want a prop that will get you in your motors optimum operating RPM's Good Luck and sorry could not help out more, but would need more info. A 4 blade prop is better for load carrying, better handling, especially in rough water. 3 Blade props are better for speed and smooth water handling. I have 3 props for my rig (20' Triton Bass Boat 200 Hp Merc Optimax) a 27 P Tempest + for cool weather, 26 P Tempest + for Hot weather, and a 25P 4 blade I carry with me at all times in case the weather gets nasty.
