Is a light boat or a heavy boat better for offshore fishing?

1. A heavy boat would be better. It dosen't get pushed around alot by the waves.
2. It depends if you are on a river, lake or ocean! A light boat is better on a small lake or river!
3. a heavy boat. the lighter your boat the rougher the waves will make your experience on the water. if it's for strictly fair weather then it doesn't make much difference, but if you want to fish or ski you should probably look at a heavy boat with a deep v hull.
4. Heavy!!!Offshore the wind and waves can change quickly,I went today and it was 3-5 foot at 6 am and by noon it was 4-8
5. Maybe a better answer would be a longer boat would be better than a short boat.
