What is an outrigger used for.?
I am interested in getting into fishing and possibly buying a boat. I've been looking at various offshore boats that are equipped with outriggers... what are these outriggers used for? Thanks for your answers.

- It holds the fishing line away, and out to the side of the boat with a clip, while trolling, fish strikes, clip lets go, fish ON !
