Fishing Q&A

I just bought a boat and need to do some research on it...Help!?

I just bought an old 60's model 14ft aluminum V-hull Sports Kraft fishing boat. I need to find a place on line to research these older boats and see pictures. Can anyone help?

  1. Yeah the research is supposed to be done BEFORE the buying.
  2. google it
  3. Why didn't you do your research before you spent money on something. I would just Google it. I'm sure you'll get a lot of search results relevant.
  4. There is a boating forum on http://forums.iboats.com/ Here, you can ask questions about your boat, and get answers from experienced boaters. They have engine-specific topics, general topics, and more. Good luck!
  5. Aluminum boats come in two basic types. Welded and riveted. Welded boats of that size are usually commercial boats used by fisherman and marine construction companies, etc. You probably have a riveted boat. Put it in the water and see if it leaks. if it does then it probably needs new rivets. If the metal around the rivets is excessively corroded, then your boat is probably scrap.
